Throughout the rest of the afternoon, the students participate in Joy Choir (Grades 1-3) or Alleluia Choir (Grades 4-5) and engage spiritual practices and learning events, such as Lectio Divina, walking the Labyrinth, Faith Fairs, building relationships with Bethesda’s sister congregation in Tanzania, and interactive Bible Story. The registration fee is $15. Please contact Pastor Karen Wight Hoogheem for more information.
Faith Stepping Stones
This ministry is how Bethesda partners with parents to raise children in faith. Faith Stepping Stone classes are offered throughout the year and focus on eight significant moments in parenting and children’s lives.
The eight stones are:
- Raising a Healthy Baby
- Raising a Healthy Preschooler
- Entry in to School
- My Bible
- Holy Communion
- Surviving Adolescence
- Confirmation
- Graduation
At Bethesda, we believe that faith development happens best at home with the support of a caring congregation.
Kids' Corner
Children of all ages are invited to play, rest, read and spend time with one another at the Kids' Corner, which is located in the northwest corner of the Commons. This corner is espcieally intended for young people who need a break from worship to get the wiggles out. Feel free to enjoy the toys, books, crayons, paper, and games that are located in the Kids' Corner closet.
